Enjoy what you do

Article from Star. Which bullet you enjoy most?

People whose eyes light up when they talk about their jobs and take pride in what they do are the ones who genuinely enjoy their work. You, too, can be one of them. Here are a few hints to get you started:
Stay positive
First and foremost, identify the most interesting factors about your job. Take pride in what you do and believe that it is interesting.
For example, if you are a truck driver, you may think that your job is boring and unimportant. However, things would be different if you identify yourself as an important link in an entire supply chain.
Your outlook decides your self-worth. If you take pride in what you are doing, you will build up a confidence that commands respect from others.
Dream on
Rejuvenate your life by having a bigger dream. Constantly ask yourself: “Where do you see yourself in five years time?”
A dream will give us a sense of direction and purpose. This is very important as it is a source of motivation and gives a sense of achievement along the journey to success.
Add value
You add value to a company, no matter which position you are in. It is very important to enjoy what you do, so that you feel happy doing it every day.
It may be a simple job, but think of the impact on customers. For example, if you are a sales executive selling financial products, you will get satisfaction when you see that you have helped your customers build a solid foundation for their whole family.
The key is to keep perfecting your value-add and be the best in your area of expertise. Have in-depth knowledge and gather more knowledge to do your job better. You will have a great sense of achievement knowing that you are the expert in your specific area of professionalism.
Enjoy the company
Studies have shown that one of the most important reasons why people decide to stay or leave a company are their colleagues.
Whether you are providing a service to an internal customer or you require assistance from colleagues, you have to liaise with your fellow workers to get the work done.
As you spend most of your waking hours at work, it is important to have friends to share joy, sorrows, achievements and setbacks with. Activities outside work such as going for meals, shopping or sports will help to build the bonds and foster friendship with your colleagues.
Network
Meet more people both internally and externally, and familiarise yourself with what they do. Once you get to know them, you will be able to understand a company’s entire operations more clearly. Having an eye on the bigger picture may even propel you towards an earlier promotion.

This article is true. I agree. Nowdays, things have change. Importantly is regardless of what position, enjoy the company is the most valuable. Network of course is important, but don't rely on them becuase everyone seem selfish and not true to help you.

So, keep dreammin and hope your dream will come true. Best wishes to you.
